Hi,

my Prop-1 has apparently gone dead.  when i put the switch to 1 - i get no power indicator - when i put the switch to 2 - the V+ light that is near the terminal strip comes on but i also cannot see the Prop-1 when i connect to my computer.  i have tried replacing the ULN2803 chip but the same problem exists.

another Prop-1 that i have all the sudden both power lights are blinking.   what does that mean?

What kind of power are you using?  Based on the symptoms you describe, I'm guessing you have an unregulated 24v supply that is pumping more than 29v into the controller.  The power light won't come on because the regulator shuts down to protect itself; the V+ LED lights because it's directly connected to the input voltage when the switch in in P2.

On the other end, if the supply voltage has dropped to less than 6v then you'd see the same thing -- this time the regulator is shutting down because it doesn't have enough overhead (you should put at least 9v into the Prop-1).

i am using a 24vdc power supply - it is putting out 24.42 volts.  it doesn't say its regulated so does that mean it isnt?

will the regulator reset or is it fried?

The 5v regulator will shut down.  Unplug the controller, let it sit for a while to cool down, and then use an appropriately-regulated supply.  We've seen this before -- in fact, it's mentioned in our documentation (hint, hint...).
