Hello, I am going to purchase a simple 3 pin LCD display from Parallax. I want to output the tag name of people that access my RFID door lock to the display, and at the same time, be able to show when the batteries are low. Parallax has a optocontroller device but it uses pot command which does not work??? for my BS2....

Can someone guide me to links, sample code, and suggestions.

Goal:
Be able to display low battery, and a feature such as who comes to door real time on the display.

Thanks!

You'd really need to run your battery input through a divider such that when the battery is at full strength you get five volts from the tap of the divider.  Then run this to the input of an ADC0831 and read the voltage.  You'll have to make a determination about when the battery is low based on that reading.

Note that you'll need to use our prototyping board to add the ADC0831 to our Prop-2.  I suggest you download StampWorks (from Parallax) for code samples.
