I just completed a guy I call "CLYDE". He'll be standing in the middle of our graveyard this year. At my discretion he'll come to life as the final part in a sequence of several different props. He has jaw movement and head turn left and right as he sings "Monster Mash". I wired in an LED spotlight controlled by the Prop-1 which draws attention to him as he's about to start singing. The head is made from a $3 wig manikin and a $2 "After Halloween Sale" mask. The body frame is 3/4" PVC with a piece of 3/4" plywood for the waist. The electronics are enclosed in a Tupperware container. The lantern is a cheap kerosene that I converted to a flicker with 3 yellow and 3 orange LED's. A pair of old work boots, some old clothes stuffed with plastic grocery bags, and an old shovel complete the package. I made a custom sound track that has split left and right channels so the audio/servo driver moves the jaw perfectly in sync with the words. Pretty cheap project, just slightly over $100 including the electronics.

Scaring someone with a prop you built -- priceless!
