Audio stops playing

I have an AP-16 that has an SD card with one sound file that when I power up it will play in a continuous loop.  It is a stereo file with different sound for each channel.  It will play fine for a while and then all of a sudden it just stops playing the file.  I can recycle the power and it will start working again for a while.  Is this a sign of a bad board?  What does this symptom typically mean?

I would think that the SD card could be starting to go bad. I would try this SD card in your computer to see if the computer sees the file on the card or even try a newer SD card with this file on it in the AP-16+ to if this problem is still happening.

I've seen that too, and the SD card change did fix things.

You can also help minimize throughput from the card by changing the sample rate to 32kHz (us Audacity). This will limit the audio to about 16kHz, but this is still well above adult human hearing.
