ap-8 serial communication for non prop (z8 encore)

I want to operate AP8 module from a z8encore.
it has  a spi port (mosi miso and clk signal)
is the clock signal not used on a AP8?
any experience with that

You'll need to use a standard UART; I believe that the Z8 Encore has at least one hardware UART and a library for a software version.  You can use 2400 or 38.4k baud.
