i hope. i believe i had something crossed between v+ and v-, with switch on 2.  the voltage regulator got hot so i unplugged it. after it cooled down i tried it and no lights or nothing i checked and the 5v reg was dead, so i put one in i had (wrong one ?).

Heres the problem when i tried it the program ran fine, but the v+ led lights up dim with switch on 1. i looked on digikey but could not find one (reg.) with the p+
like the original, the one i used is lm330t. is there some difference causing this? if you have the right one i'll buy it from you when i order
another prop1.

edit: it's working fine with it now no light where there shouldn't be

Did you have a hot source connected to V+ (you shouldn't) -- this will cause the V+ LED to light.  The regulator has a thermal shutdown and may have taken some time to cool off to reset.

im not sure what i did. i put the lm330t in but it had a 2940ct in it. it's workin now but is there a difference in the two that may be harmful

Keep in mind that doing your own repairs voids your warranty; but as you're comfortable soldering you may as well get the right part.  The LM2940-5.0 is a low drop-out regulator, but hard to find unless you want to buy a bunch.

I looked up the specs on the LM330T -- pretty weak in the current output department: only 150 mA.  So long as you're not running much from the Px.R pins you shouldn't have any troubles.

This part may be better if you're running anything from the Px.R pins:
