Jon,
I'm currently using a Prop2 to control my animated skull, and it's working well. I have 4 servos blending just peachy. My concern is that for a animation sequence of any length I'm going to need to go to a PC controlled solution. VSA appears to be where I need to be, but then I need to get into a separate servo controller, which leads me to my question:

Can I use the Prop2 to power the Parallax servo controller, and if so, how do you recommend I do it?

Yes, of course you can use a Prop-2 to run the PSC -- that part's a slam dunk.  That said, I don't know that using the PSC will buy you much room in the EEPROM for show data.
