ok i have been trying to learn some of the ins and outs of the prop 1 controller
and i have a few questions im trying to design a prop for halloween
and its going to involve a 12v solenoid at 250 ma.
also its going to use an audio chip from cowlacious that uses 5v im unsure of the m.a. at this time.
i have a prop 1 controller and everything i need to begin programming
im just unsure if the prop 1  will hande the m.a. im trying to push through it
and if not what else do i need?
ok the other question is will the prop 1
handle different types of volts.
for instance will it handle the 5 v and the 12 v at the same time

Believe it or not, all of this information is in the documentation, or right here in our forums.

If you're just running one valve, the ULN will handle up to 500 mA.  The Cowlacious boards will take 5v to 24v so you can route power from the V+ and GND terminals of the Prop-1 to the power input of the Cowlacious board -- like I've done here:

You should NOT try to connect any of the 5v circuitry of the Prop-1 to the Cowlacious board; us the V+/GND terminals to route power and use one of the OUTx terminals to provide the trigger.  See this thread:

Finally, according to those pesky docs that we write, the Prop-1 will take anything from 12 to 24 volts DC on its input connector.  It provides 5v on the Px.R terminals -- but you should not connect these terminals to other boards.  Period.

One favor, please (aside from reading our docs <wink>): Please use a relevant thread topic so that others doing searches might find exchanges you've started.  For example, I'm renaming this thread: Prop-1 + Cowlacious
