I found a dot  matrix  LCD display for $22.00 AND A 20X4 character lcd dispay with 75 x 25mm back lit screen for12.99  AND THEY SAY ARE READY TO INSTALL IN YOUR MICRO-COMPUTER, BASIC STAMP DEVICE????? AT WWW.VIRTUALVILLAGE.COM What do you think ? How do I wire it (or any LCD OR 7 SEG) to a EFX-PROP-sx????  Sorry I am so confused . thank you for all of you help! this stuff is a headache to figure out,but is such a adrenaline  rush after you get it to work. thank you for for all help. Scaring someone with a prop you built -- priceless!

Here is the link. I have not bought one yet. I don't know which one will work with a efx-tek prop-xs. I need one to display numbers for a stop watch display.even if it only shows the final value. http://www.virtualvillage.com/store/search.aspx

You could use a standard parallel LCD with the Prop-SX to display my stopwatch code.  Let me suggest that you start a new thread in the Prop-SX forum with the goals for your project -- again, based on using the Prop-SX.  If you add an LCD you can display lots of information (2x16 and 4x20 LCDs are common) using one block of pins (P0-P7).  This leaves you with eight I/O pins for the rest of your project.

Here's an LCD that you could use:
