I want to be able to send commands serially to multiple Prop-2s from the same port on a PC.  The Basic Stamp manual talks briefly about tying multiple devices together, and it seems like it would work, but I was wondering if anybody out there had tried stringing more than one Prop-2 on a serial line.

I know that I have to provide some way for each Prop-2 to know when to listen and when to talk.  That's not a big problem, there are a number of ways to do it.  I'm just hoping that I can benefit (i.e. steal) from other's experience.

We do that stuff with our accessories (AP-8, RC-4, FC-4, DC-16) every day -- it's just chips talking together on a mini network.  The *problem* with the BS2 (in the Prop-2) is that it must be sitting on the SERIN statement when the command arrives.  The SX on the other hand can be programmed with "background" serial so you can be busy doing something when a command comes in a deal with it when you're ready.
