I am working on making the most obnoxious alarm clock every built. I have a very bad problem with not waking up. Right now I use a 110v industrial alarm plugged into one of those 24 hour mechanical light timers that you use while your away on vacation. It is not accurate enough though. I want to use a prop-1 to control the functions of various lights and alarms, but I need a reliable way to trigger it based of course on time. Does anyone know of a board that acts as a clock that I can use to trigger a prop-1 to start my wake up program?

I've been kinda looking for something like that for a while as well. Thinking of building a HUGE clock.  Haven't found one yet.  But you may enjoy this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ-l5PlDa-k&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fhackaday.com%2F%3Fs%3Dalarm%2Bclock&feature=player_embedded

I saw that video before, that might work, but I don't think my wife will appreciate it.

I found what I am going to use to act as the clock, and alarm trigger for the prop-1, http://www.mpja.com/prodinfo.asp?number=16742+MI

to answer my own question, I found a supply of new coffe pot timer modules that have a built in spst relay that operates at the alarm set time. I will post a video and pictures as soon as the super alarm clock of doom is complete.

Could you tap off the speaker wires in an old clock radio?  Use the speaker voltage to charge a cap thru a diode-sort of like a RC time circuit.
