 I received my prop1 starter kit today. Everything is static packed. How vulnerable to static are these componets, and should I ground myself while working with them?

Our boards are not overly sensitive -- static packing is commonplace amongst electronics vendors.  That said, use good sense.  If you happen to be working on a dry, windy day and notice that a stroll across the room creates a mini lightning bolt between you finger and a door knob... well, you should probably dissipate any static before handling anything electrical.
