I want to know If I  can set up two stepper motor to build a pan and tilt control for my camera jib on a prop 2. The camera wieght is aprox 5lbs. I found a Micro dual serial motor controller to help operate both motor. found it on prallax website. I also want to hook up a small joy stick to control the pan and tilt. I also found  the motor which i hope works. Its a soyo unipolar stepper motor 6volts 0.08 amps with 36 oz/in.  One more thing i need speed control, thats why i have the micro dual serial. Will the Prop 2 able to do this. can it be done? need help

It think it could be done, though I would suggest this is not a beginners project.  I have friend who builds professional pan/tilt products and has uses a BS2 (brain of the Prop-2) in the past (he now uses an SX).  In his case the joystick deflection adjusts speed of the motors; when the joystick is returned to center then the motors stop.

You'll need a decent Analog-to-Digital converter for this; I would suggest the ADC0832 as it has two channels (so you can read X and Y from the joystick).  If you can get the joystick connected to the A2D which is then connected to the Prop-2, the rest should be pretty easy as the stepper motor takes care of the really hard work of controlling the motors.

If you get there I'll guide you with code; I have a very large library of BS2 code that will work for you.
