Triggering Prop-1 with wireless relay trigger

I am attempting to trigger a prop-1 with a rf relay set up from Linx.

This is the relay board. http://www.linxtechnologies.com/Products/OEM-Products/Relay-Function-Module-2/

This is the trigger. http://www.linxtechnologies.com/Products/OEM-Products/Long-Range-Handheld-Transmitter/

I have attached both data sheets.

Both are 433mhz and are set to the same addressable channel.

I have P14 W and R run to one of the relays on the linx module. I additionally have a N.O. switch wired in parallel with the linx module. The N.O. switch does trigger my program. I am at a loss. Does anyone see something in the tech. specs. that is obvious as to why it won't work?

Can you hear the relay click when you press a button on the remote?

No. At 2am I wasn't even thinking about that fact. Shot.

May have a bad product, time to order another one from Mouser.

Thanks

Brian,

I have a simple test for you. Connect a 5VDC lamp or LED to each of the relays and push the "On" button momentary for the corresponding relays. If you setup the relay module for momentary relay action the light should light up. The relays in the relay module can be setup for latching or momentary relay action. I don't know what you already tried that is why I'm suggesting this.

I have a question for you. Are you using two transmitters with same frequency? If you are, you will have interface problem with the relay module not activating the relay that you want. Do you have any other items that transmits on the same frequency? This may cause a interface problem with the relay module. I think this is long shot, but you will never know.

I will research this one for and let you know what I find.

I tried switching leds already. I can't even get 12v ones to work. I have tried both latching and momentary settings.

1 transmitter the same frequency and address setting as the relay receiver. Nothing else even on in the area other than lights.

I am coming back to it must be a bad unit. Unfortunately there are no indicator lights or anything on the linx unit to tell me if it's even on.

Of course the prop-1 operates perfectly.

I figured it out. It's always the simple things. Receiver has 8 dip switch transmitter has 10. They ship it with all address switches on so they are different addresses. Last two on the transmitter get switched to off, voila, working trigger with working prop now.

I feel your pain. I am always forgetting the little things! Glad you got it working

Scaring someone with a prop you built -- priceless!
