I received my first Prop-1 from Jon & John at Hauntcon in Dallas in 2005. When I got it home, one of the first program I wrote for it was to control the movements of an animatronic character. I wanted to have the creature move, but I didn't want to spend the time to program each pose. I also wanted to be able to have the creature make continuous random movements that would go with any soundtrack or dialog I created. The result was the first Prop-1 program I wrote. The 6-servo Random Motion generator:

I have since used a prop-1 with this code to retrofit my Dungeon Keeper:

and my "XAR" (Experimental Arachnid Robot):

The random motion code has since been refined by a number of folks (I think Jon has a souped-up version somewhere :) ) and is really easy to use to get some animation in a puppet or animatronic character. :)
