I have seen this error a few times, "eeprom programming error on com#"

This board was installed in a prop, took a program, and worked a few times, before I decided to use a different known working program in it. Now, it seems like it won't take the program.

What could cause an error like this, with a board that did work at least for a few times, and I know took a program from the same programmer, cable, and computer, and other HC-8's will take this program? Should I just return the board?

Yes, I have had it happen on a total of 3 REV F boards now. But the same program, computer, and everything will drop right into another rev f board from the same shipment. Could it be a hardware failure?

Were you using I2C devices connected to the new I2C port? This can cause problems if the device will not operate at 400kHz.
