Jon or anyone,

I can't seem to use the POT scaling command in the basic stamp editor with the prop-2. Anything special I need to do. All it keeps telling me is that there is no bs1 connected, and I can't find a place to tell it that it's a bs2.

Pot scaling is only a BS 1 feature. I am at work so I can't lookup the bs2 command, but I think its rctime.

Scaring someone with a prop you built -- priceless!

Yep, the RCTIME command on the BS2 (Prop2) replaces the POT command on the BS1

I grabbed this off the BS2 syntax manual - Page 363

RCTIME Pin, State, Variable

Function
Measure time while Pin remains in State; usually to measure the
charge/discharge time of resistor/capacitor (RC) circuit.

? Pin is a variable/constant/expression (0 ? 15) that specifies the I/O
pin to use. This pin will be placed into input mode.

? State is a variable/constant/expression (0 - 1) that specifies the
desired state to measure. Once Pin is not in State, the command
ends and stores the result in Variable.

? Variable is a variable (usually a word) in which the time
measurement will be stored. The unit of time for Variable is 2us
(for the BS2)

As pointed out, you'll use RCTIME on the Prop-2 and you'll get a word result.  Also, you need to install the SETUP jumper for the pin used to the DN position.  See this thread for a discussion on using RCTIME with the Prop-2:
