Jon,

I am with non-profit group restoring an old WWII ship's damage control sounds. The damage control sounds were sent through the ship's P/A system from 1950 to present

The goal is to connect the AP-8 to an Bogen Amplifier through the Aux input.

The question is will this work.

Thanks,
Bsnut

Many have connected the AP-8 to external amplifiers.  Tips:

1. Only use the LO volume position of the power switch
2. Turn the volume down to about 1/4 to prevent distortion

You'll have to make a suitable cable to go from the speaker terminal (Rev C or earlier) or 1/8th line out jack (Rev D and later) into your amplifier.
