Question with the prop2 and the out lines, I have a relay coil 12v 30 mA 400 Ohm between OUT1 and V+ , I've tested the relay at 9 volts and 12 volts  straight and it clicks over... however using my code it won't fire ... Listed code is a slight modification of Jon's with the addition of test for the relay

Basically I set

Relay1  Pin     1
DIRS = %00000010
HIGH Relay1

am I missing something ... ?

If you're using the HIGH and LOW instructions you don't have to manipulate the DIRS register -- that part is built in to the HIGH and LOW instructions.

The code should work.  Do you have the power switch to position 2? You need to do this to route the incoming power to the V+ terminals.

Nuts....   errr everyone ... If you remove a ULN for any reason make sure you pop it back in the right orientation

Everything is ok... my bad
