download failed

I got a prop 1,  don't know pbasic but catching on quickly.  Thought I'd jump ahead and download a premade "random servo program". But when I try to download it to the prop1 I get an error "hardware communication failure.  Check serial cable and power supply."  I tried the usb tip and direct to the serial port.  I downloaded some code earlier no problem do I have to remove it to add new code.  I identify no problem says v1.4 and loopback and echo both say no.   Thanks Troy

Did you have the BS1 Serial Adapter plugged in correctly?  It should plug in components side up (the writing on the board goes down).  Look for a little mark on the BS1-SA and the Prop-1 that looks like this: >> -- those pins connect together.

If that doesn't work contact jbarrowman at efx-tek.com about a return/replacement.
