Did anything ever come of a EFX-Tek Podcast?

Still trying to figure out how best to approach that, and have been very busy with a book (for my friends at Parallax) -- and will know soon.  One of my best friends, Karmyn Tyler, is moving in right below me and she's got a hugely popular podcast (checkout www.karmynkast.net), so I'll learn from her.  And as Karmyn wants to start video podcasting, and I happen to shoot and edit video, we'll learn that together.

Help me out: What subjects would be of interest in either an audio or video format?

I think one of the more important subjects would concern the RC-4 and how to hook-up 120 Volts AC to it and how to control the relays.  It seems that this is very dangerous and from what I have read on the message board, I think this is important.

I don't agree that the RC-4 is "very dangerous."  Any person with a bit of common sense and the desire to read our documentation will have no trouble at all, and we have enough RC-4 successes to back that up.  It's "read our documentation" part that is the trick (here's my $0.02): most of us refuse to read product documentation until we get into trouble -- that includes me!

The connections and safety warnings are spelled out quite clearly in the docs; John and I have both worked with industrial products and understand the importance of adequate safety information.  That said, and being a video is worth more than 1000 words, I will find a way to video-document the RC-4 (and all our products) connections.  I have the tools, and with Karmyn moving in downstairs I have someone who can run my camera for me!

I think the best way to do a pod cast would be through video!   ;D

for myself its easier to take information in from seeing then hearing.!
