Ok let me understand this.

My FCG is not currently plugged in at all.  It will be plugged in to the buttom of the power terminal on the right side. My Background light will be connected to the top of the power terminal.   All I am doing at the moment is monitoring LED's on RC-4 to make sure they are switching properly by the program.  And yes AC current will be coming through the power strip on the bottom.

So should I have power to prop-1 come from a different source then the one that connects to the terminal?  I'll try separate source when I get home from work.

Thanks

Vasago

Hmmm....

At lunch I went and got a new thumb drive for my VMUSIC player; I'll load up your program and see if I can make it misbehave on my desk.

[A little while later...] Okay, I ran your program and one time (just once) found that the VMUSIC player didn't play the FCG audio and kept the loop going, even though the FCG power light on the RC-4 was lit.  So, I added a little code to fully stop the background before starting the FCG audio.  I also noted that the background light would come on while the last moments of the FCG audio was playing; this is due to the buffer in the MP3 player.  So I added a small delay before switch back to the background mode (updates are in your the original code listing and marked in blue).

I stressed it out and all sequences work as expected.

Hope this thread will help other folks with similar issues.
