Do not buy from this company.  One of our clients used one of their RGB modules in a product we had tested with discrete LEDs and knew worked well.  It seems that their RGB module will not allow the Green and Blue LEDs to work when the Red is on, yet there is no mention of this in the data sheet, and their customer service had no clue either -- their response was that I didn't know what I was doing as an electronics engineer (even though he previously admitted he wasn't an engineer of any sort) or our client didn't buy the LEDs from them.

This is unbelievable to me and very swiftly brought out the Evil JonnyMac.

Please, for your sake and that of your products, don't buy anything from this company -- and please let your friends know how they treated EFX-TEK and one of their customers.  There is absolutely no justification for such crappy customer service.

BTW, after getting some rest I came up with a code work-around to make the LED work (PWMing just one LED at a time) -- but this shouldn't have been necessary if the LED spec sheet and the company that sells it was honest.

Yeah, I'm mad.

Thanks for letting us know. That's actually where I got my multi color leds. I haven't tried to color mix with them yet though.

They may in fact have products that work but after their absolutely HORRID customer service I will never take the time to find out.

Jon:

About a year ago, I purchased 3 LED replacement bulbs for the reading lights in our motorhome.  The guy who sold them to me was a real hustler and thought his product was the only one on the earth.  After reading your comments about Super Bright LEDs (dot com), I looked at their website.  Lo and Behold, I found the supposed bulbs I had purchased as a direct replacement for my #393 reading lights.  They are actually the bulbs for automobile clearance lights, and not at all as bright as the incandescent bulbs they are to replace.  I don't know if this guy was Super Bright or not, but he sure had a lot of LED bulbs for replacements.  By the way, I paid $14.95 each for them.  Hopefully this guy will be at the next motorhome show at Fairplex in Pomona, CA.  Boy will he get a piece of my mind.

Could someone suggest a good place online to purchase LEDs? Or just your standard Moser/Jameco, etc?

Thanks!
