Is it possible to use a Prop 1 to drive one 7 segment display?  I'm trying to build a simple counter using a contact closure.  I searched the forum and found this reference but it uses a SX.

EFX-TEK > TEK Talk > Prop-SX > SX Timer/Stopwatch

I have been expermenting with a 7490 decade counter and 7447 display driver but would like to see if a prop 1 will work.

Thanks

Sure, it just takes connections and a bit of code.  To start simple use a common-cathode display; connect segment A to P0, segment B to P1, etc; segment G is connected to P6.  These connections leave P7 open for your button.  You can create a one-digit counter, a simple die game (using RANDOM); there's lots of fun to be had.
