I would like to use the LM317 to regulate voltage out of the prop one to these micro smd leds I am playing with. They are extremely low current and about 2 volts for fwd voltage. I have found many sites which try to illustrate how one assembles this simple circuit but I cannot follow the diagram (see link below)

http://www.whatcircuits.com/lm317-calculator/

Is there a simple drawing using the actual component shapes or images of the actual components so I can understand how to recreate this circuit? I am more of a visual person so this would be hugely helpful!

Thanks in advance :)

I've just come in off set and am tired, but this should help -- though it's not a practical layout of the components vis-a-vis real estate.

Well, sounds like you got another acting gig! Congrats Jon!

Scaring someone with a prop you built -- priceless!

Not acting on this one, but having fun nonetheless.  Checkout "The Guild" at www.watchtheguild.com -- I'm shooting behind-the-scenes video and stills for season #3; next week I'll be doing some electronics (blinking lights) and a some practical effects.
