Can't get the Prop1 to talk to the RC4

Hi Jon,
I'm trying to run your test code for the prop-1 and RC4 (RC-4_Test.BS1), and it's not getting to this line of the code:
  DEBUG "RC-4 Version ", #@id0, #@id1, #@id2, CR

I'm assuming that means I'm not getting a valid serial connection.
Baud is set to 2400 on the RC4

p7 on the Prop-1 is known good (I just finished getting the vMusic2 working via your specs and test code, thanks!)

I don't have a known good cable, but I tested it with the 2 that I had.

ULN pin is cut, and since I just had it talking to the vMusic2, I know that's working.

I tried it with the setup pin in both the up and down position (because I'm never quite sure which I should be using).

Pics of my prop-1 connections and RC-4 connections here:

Ignorant question time:  The rc-4 gets it's power via the prop-1, so I shouldn't need to plug in the AC power in order to test the serial communication, right?

We did the wiring at the CalHauntS Norcal workshop in Aug 07, but I didn't test mine, so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with the setup, I erred in the wiring, or whether it's just because it's been on a shelf out in the garage for the last 2 years.

Thanks,
Rik

Never mind... I have the RC4 set to address 3 and the test code uses address 0.  Doh!  I'll let you know if I still need help.
