Prop1 #1 to trigger Prop1 #2

I have run out of space on Prop1 #1 so I moved the servo portion of my program to Prop1 #2.  (2 servos)  I made an output on #1 to trigger #2.  So far, everything works fine.  My question is:

#2 is getting its power from #1 through the header connection.  Since only servos are on #2 will it be ok, or will I see blue smoke soon?  The other option is to trigger a relay from #1 and turn on #2 and connect standard 12V power to #2.

I'm sure the best option is to upgrade to a Prop2.

Thanks

You could; both boards have their own 5v supplies and a small difference between them could create a current path that you don't want.

The solution is simple: take the WRB wire that you're using to go from one to the other and clip out the red wire on at least one end, using just the white (signal) and black (ground).  This will let Prop-1 #1 send a signal to #2 without the use of smoke signals.
