QuoteI also tried high and low on the PIR. I assume that is for different sensitivity?

No, this has no effect on sensitivity.
H yields a continuous high output while motion is detected, output goes low when motion stops.
L Output goes HIGH then LOW when triggered. Continuous motion results in repeated HIGH/LOW pulses.

The only way to adjust sensitivity is to choke down the PIR's field of view.

just got home, the program continues to fire even though the PIR has been removed from the board... Apparently I didn't give it enough time last night. It goes off every 30 seconds like clockwork.

This was just pulling the jumper off P6 without powering the prop 1 down. I just powered it up with no PIR or switch hooked to the board and after 30 seconds the program ran anyway...???

I'm also using a second prop1 board that I had here so even switching the board didn't help...

Now with the PIR removed I reloaded the program again and after 30 seconds it ran on it's own... Could it be something on the RC4 that I need to have a jumper on that I took off?  Going to check those docs... again...

A little clarification needed here. If you removed the P6 set up jumper, this could cause false triggers. P6 set up jumper should be in DN position.

My bad I didn't give it enough time earlier this week when I said it wouldn't run without the PIR.. I just talked to Jon and he talked me through and we confirmed that my PIR was indeed bad.

I just got back from Radio S. and I bought two PIR's.. (The manager didn't know they had them... )  ???

until I opened the sensor drawer and asked him that he didn't carry these?

Anyway thanks.. I'll go back and install the tentacle in the haunt. I'll get some before and after video for the completed section...

Vista... Did I just blow up my board???
