I have been looking for a power adapter for the AP 16+ and the closest one I found for a reasonable price is rated for 18V and 1 amp.  My question is how much 'power' on the sound am I going to lose if I dont get a 3 amp power source.  Or will I have more power with a 3 amp and let's say a 14 volt source?

Thanks

I would suggest you get the 18vdc @ 3amps that Jon suggests on product page for this one reason.

You will loss volume with a smaller power supply and I don't think you want quiet show. The amplifiers on the AP-16 need the amps and voltage from a power supply that Jon suggests to give you good sound quality.

If you can't find an 18v, 3A supply (they're tough, we're having trouble, too), I think you'd be better off with a 12V, 5A supply (easy to find in my neck of the woods).
