After having my AP-16 for some time I'm just now getting around to using it. The issue I am having is when  I power up the  AP-16 the red surface mount leds are flashing. I am using the power pack that I bought with it. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Disregard, I plugged in a 12 volt  power pack and the board works fine. By using the 12v vs the 18v is the difference going to be how much power (sound) I will  get from the amplifiers?

Flashing lights on the board generally indicate a short circuit; the regulators are shutting down due to current overload -- check your wires.

Also, since you've had your AP-16+ a while be sure to download the latest firmware for it -- you can find that on the AP-16+ page.  You'll get the best sound from 16-ohm speakers, especially when using a 12v supply.  The AP-16+ is pretty loud; with good speakers you'll be fine.
