Best way to fade audio?

Hi everyone,

What is the best way to fade audio on the AP-16+? The basic idea is to have an ambient file playing, and when the AP-16 is triggered by a serial command, I want the ambient loop to fade out at whatever point it is at.

This year, I used an IF-THEN loop that worked pretty well, but it seems like a lot of lines of code for what it did. Does anyone have an example of what they have done to do a fade out?

Thanks,
Liam

That's the only way for now.  I have recently made some updates to a new audio driver core and in the new year will look at moving those into the AP-16+.  One of my goals (note that I state as a goal) is to provide a fade feature via the serial link.  I'd probably add the ability to retrieve the audio levels as well so that you could monitor a slow feed and when it got to 0 you could stop the file and play the next.  Again, all just ideas and goals now, so please.... no "is it done yet?" questions. ;)

Thanks, Jon. I just wanted to make sure I was doing it the most efficient way possible. And I promise I won't bother you to get it into the firmware. I've got it working, so all is good.
