Prop-1 fried? Test & V+ lights blinking

So 19 days til Halloween and I think I've fried my Prop-1.   I had my program running when I went to trim some backing with scissors and didn't realize the tiny set of LED wires running behind it.  I clipped both wires at the same time and the program stopped.  Looking at the Prop-1 on the test position, the test light comes on and stays solid.  When it is turned to the on position, both the test light and V+ light blink at the same time.

I've tried splicing the wires that I nicked but end up with the same result.  Is there possibly a "reset" that I can do or have I reduced it down to a paperweight?

Try disconnecting the OUTx terminal that the LED was on and power up the Prop-1. It may have fried that output on the ULN.
If it works with that output disconnected you can either replace the ULN or use another OUT terminal if there's one available.
(you'll need to change the I/O designation in the program)

I'm with Jack, I think you fried the ULN2803 -- we put it in a socket for this reason (shorts can be problematic).

This should be an easy fix.

Oh thats so good to hear!  I'll give it a try tomorrow and will let you know.  Thank you both!

The reason the V+ LED is blinking is that the short circuit on the V+ side is causing the power supply to shut down. Then it comes back on an the shorted condition causes it to shut down again. I've done this myself one or two times.

Switched the ULN and it worked, thank you so much!   I did as suggested and removed the out that was snipped (which has been repaired) however the progran didn't run and there was a metallic burning smell (no smoke or anything).  Turned off the unit and replaced the ULN still with the snipped out removed and the program ran fine with no smell.  Hooked up the last out and it all works!

I love you guys, you make my haunt bad ass!!!  Thank you so much!  (I'll be able to sleep tonight!) Yaaay!!   ;D
