I have a quick question.  How can I drive a pnp transistor with a stamp output.
thank you all for any help.

Why PNP?  What are you trying to drive?  If you give me more specifics I'll sketch a circuit for you.

jon,

Thank you for the fast response.

I am using a npn to supply ground to an led array.  I want to be able to supply +vdc to the array using another pin.  the load is about 360 ma which seems be be greater than the uln can handle using 4 channels.  does this clarify things?

What you might want to, then, is go with a TIP120 (Darlington) driver; this can be connected right to you Px headers and controlled with HIGH and LOW.  This circuit will let you switch up to 5 amps -- plenty for your LED arrays.
