Stopped working? Eating transformers?

My prop ones are acting very strange... I test them every day with Halloween so close I want to make sure they work.

It had been working GREAT...then...

The transformer that came with it quit working...I put a 16V and it had been working great....now that one quit working.  I took a 5V one I had to check and the prop one worked at first (except not enough voltage to trigger my valves), but my two lights came on as they should then no lights but the valve worked.

As set up the lights are RC-4 controlled and I had 2 sprinkler valves controlling air-one for the cylinder and one for the spitter.

I don't know what else to check.

Thanks in advance for any ideas

Dennis

Check your external wiring -- don't take anything for granted, it's usually something simple.

Checked the wiring...nothing loose

This time lights came on and the 5V had enough oompf to fire the cylinder...cycled 3 times that way, but the 16V transformer like the 12V is ?fried?.

Checked the transformer on the voltmeter...nothing

It's next to impossible for anyone to troubleshoot your problem without being there.  If you insist that the wiring is good (I'd still be suspicious), then you might put an amp meter in line with your loads to see what is going on with them.  Be sure to use a 12-volt transformer for that test.

Thanks Jon...That's getting too technical for me...lol.

I'm going to wait until tomorrow (daylight) and check the wiring again...try to find another 16v or greater transformer...

Thanks again...
