Jon,

Can you help us understand and/or give us a breakdown of FC-4 features/benefits vs. the N&V Nov Project?

I think it's fantastic that you've providing both, and I'm sure you're creating a lot of excitement.

Thanks!

The N&V project, of course, is built on the foundation of the FC-4 R&D that I did earlier this year.  Differences versus FC-4:

* eight channels
* address is 0 to 15
* baud rate fixed at 38.4K
* does not use AppMod protocol
* can be multi-dropped on RS-485 network -- this allows a lot of distance between devices
* slave only; no built-in features like cross-fade, etc. (the board simply maintains the last levels sent to it)

All that said, the board does have a 3-pin header on it that would allow a Prop-2 to set the levels; I did this during the development/testing.
