I like the idea, but it removes the option of analyzing the voltage. How about an A to D , I really don't want to remove the capability of manually checking the voltage.

How are you analyzing the voltage now?

Of course you could use an ADC.  I'd run the external voltage through a precision divider such that your highest expected voltage gives you something under five volts.  Then the ADC0831 could be used to read that voltage.

Manually with  meter grin, I'd rather forego the walk to the shed :) ... yeah its a very small walk... but I spend more time on my PC, kinda nice to open an app and see how things are doing, my next step was to FTP the data to my FTP site, populate a page. I could then write a small app to control it via the web hence my office while I'm at work.

If I used the ADC I would have to extrapolate the actual voltage. I guess this is why I use the RTC function which, although not extremely accurate put me within a 10th of a volt, good enough

Just to close out this thread, my other prop2 has now been running 24/7 for the last 2.5 months with absolutely no issues. (without the voltage check)

the prop2 is definetly a great little piece of hardware, issues with my other prop2 were probably due to my own mistakes
