hi im really new to this stuff, all i want to know is how to connect my motion sensor to my prop 1 board. it doesnt have io pins. the kind i have can be viewed on this site. http://www.aartech.ca/product_info.php/products_id/924/BV-602.html

You might want to get one of our long cables (#805-00175) and cut the connector off of one end.  Connect the red and white wires to the N.O. (normally open) contacts.  Connect that to P6 (note the polarity) and put the P6 SETUP jumper in the down position.  When P6 goes high ( = 1 ) then you have an input from the sensor that you can act on.

does it have to be the p6 io or can it be any?

JonnyMac

Technically, it can be any I/O pin but we encourage you to standardize on P6.  I tend to use this configuration for my Prop-1 projects:

P7 -- serial output to accessories (RC-4, etc.) -- ULN2803 is replaced with ULN2003
P6 -- trigger input
P5 -- output or input as required
P4 -- output or input as required
P3 -- output or input as required
P2 -- output or input as required
P1 -- output or input as required
P0 -- output or input as required
