I need a Basic Prop-1, AP-8, PIR program? Update

A while back I opened a topic on " I need a Basic Prop-1, AP-8, PIR program?" and I need to get an update on it.

What I want to do is replace the PIR Sensor on the prop with a hand contoller so I can do it manual.  What is the best way to do this and do I need to change the code?

Also I would like to make it so triggers a device for 3-5 seconds?  The device is a 750milliamp air controller.  Its a plug in device.  What is the best way to hook that up?

The trigger code doesn't change; what you'll do is connect a normally-open pushbutton between P6.W and P6.R.

Timing is easy to adjust.  Is this going to correspond to audio like your previous program?

When you say "plug in device" do you mean 120 VAC?  If you've not worked with these voltages before you should enlist the help of a friend that has -- it can be a little dangerous.  What you need to do is control a relay with the Prop-1 and use that relay to control the 120 VAC to your device.

Ok I get it.  So the best thing is to connect a relay to the Prop-1 and the "device" to the relay?    I have seen some great diagrams that you have done,  ss there a thread that shows some example prop setups?

Have you considered a RC-4 to control this device? I own a couple and they work great!
