i have found a good way to make a air controller for your props that are ran off air. If you have looked at some sites and seen them use a water inlet vale off a washer. The one that i seen was for one prop and i like a two for one deal. So i have came up with a way to turn it in to two out lets.
>1 first you will need a hack saw and cut in the middle of the two vales.
>2 when u cut the two abort u will need to plug the hole were the two was joined.
>3 the that has the water outlet on it leave on the bracket.
>4 then the one that now has a hole on one side turn it to were the outlet is facing out.
>5 when you get ready to but it back on you will need to drill new holes through the holes on the bracket.
>6 to control the vales you will need to use 120 volts SO BE CAREFUL AND DONT TRY TO USE A COUNTROLER OUTPUT IT WONT WORK !!!!!!
>7 to control the vales you will have to use a relay that can Handel 120 volts but the coil is 12 volts and. Don't worry about 120 volts going through the 12 volts input they are different parts inside the relay. so it is safe
>8 wire it up and turn the air and power on and test.
> do not use more then 80 psi on the vales to be safe and mine is in a metal box to be safe.....  i forgot to say that when i first posted it ...

;D **** if you need any more details let me know I'm working on my 20th one for a friend i will have a updated outlay after halloween*****

Using anything not designed for compressed air with compressed air is dangerous. Please be careful to not kill any trick or treaters.

i agree, its better just to purchase the part from a supplier, there tested and safe products

Ive seen some pretty janky stuff out there.

Normally I would agree and jump in the same boat.  However, I do know that Carl Chetta, famous for his Trash Can Trauma used washing machine water inlet valves on compressed air and had no problems.  Just don't ever exceed the PSI rating.  To be extra safe...halve the PSI rating.

I've used the washer valves...and door closer pistons...and pvc home built cylinders.  What Ive learned from my experiences is... m'eh.. yeah they work, but

They all can be temperamental and unreliable and leave you disappointed
You can spend as much $ trying to rig it to work as you can purchasing the right product (if you shop you can find stuff on the cheap)
You can spend WAY more time rigging it than building it...and frustration
I dont like to use AC when DC is an alternative
while there are many testamonials to years of success...its still not as safe (I dont think failures get reported like success do)

and remember that Mr. Chetta is a professional repairman

Just my 2 cents
