Howdy all!

This was our departments entry for a hospital wide carving contest.  For reasons unknown to us, our pumpkin was not included in the judging  :(.  But we had fun.

The initial concept of the pumpkin is here: http://www.efx-tek.com/php/smf/index.php?topic=859.0

As with most 'Team' projects, initial scope and final delivery differ.  The team wanted the lights one color and poking out of the eyes.  Additions were cut due to budget or lack of time.

We were able to add a 'Fire' type effect using Firefly Christmas lights.  The blinking clear bulbs were left in place, the remaining bulbs were exchanged for red and yellow lights.  In the video you can see the lights kick in about half way.  Probably a loose bulb.

Along the way, we discovered that pumpkins make excellent resonators!!  The speaker in the picture was yanked from an old desktop.  Sounded pretty thin on its own.  Booming room filling sound was attained once we placed in the back of the pumpkin!

Video of the pumpkin is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auAM3xtxFdY

Attached are some photos of the final pumpkin and enclosure.

This is my first write up of a prop project, so if I missed anything, please ask away!!!

Thanks again to Team EFX!!  You produce some great products!

Here are some shots of the enclosure.  The ever popular 'Sprinkler Timer' box.

I guess this pays homage to Jon's roots.
