Your question leaves out some details -- what kind of trigger?

What we normally do is connect a normally-open button or switch to an input, and inputs are connected to the Px headers (we typically use P6).  What you'll want to do is get one of our 3-pin extension cables and cut off one end; this end you'll connect to your N.O. sensor.

You'll use the white (input) and red (+5v) wires as shown above and move the P6 SETUP jumper to the DN position.

i am using a push button.  is it safe to solder directly to the headers.

JonnyMac

Please do not solder anything directly to the Prop-1; the cables are really cheap -- most people order a handful when the get other parts from us.  If you want to make your own connections (I do this a lot) you can find the appropriate part #s in the Prop-1 docs.
